Leticia Porto Pedrosa es Doctora Europea en Sociología y Ciencias de la Comunicación por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. En la actualidad, es investigadora de esa universidad, profesora de Sociología en la UNED, y también imparte clases en el Máster sobre Comunicación y Marketing de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos y la UNIR en Madrid. Algunas de sus principales líneas de investigación en relación con la animación y la infancia se vinculan con el proceso de socialización a través del cine, la educación de los conflictos emocionales en la ficción, y el análisis del tratamiento de la muerte y el dolor en las películas de animación. Además, desempeña el cargo de secretaria ejecutiva de la Asociación Kids&Com en España.

Leticia Porto Pedrosa is a Doctor of Sociology and Communication Sciences from Complutense University of Madrid. She is currently a researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid, a Professor of Sociology at the UNED and she also teaches a Master of Communication and Marketing at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and UNIR in Madrid. Some of her main research lines into the animation and childhood are linked to the socialization process through cartoon movies, education of emotional conflicts in films, and analysis of the treatment of death and pain in Disney's and Pixar animation. She also holds the position of executive secretary in the association Kids&Com, in Spain.
